REVIEW: Spanish Siesta: Flying into Love #2 by C.F. White

Matt Robinson just got dumped. Again. With his sister’s wedding on the horizon, he needs a plus one.

Kieran Barker has been in love with his straight best friend for far too long. It’ll never happen. Having already been left behind when Matt went to university, Kieran can’t take more heartbreak.

So when Matt invites Kieran to spend a whole week with him on the island of Majorca, Kieran can’t let himself think there’s more to it than lads on tour. All he can do is play the field to take his mind off the hot, rugby honed body of his oldest mate. Sexy men are in abundance in Magaluf, right? Matt only wants to cop off with the bridesmaid anyway.

But when Matt’s overprotectiveness about Kieran’s late-night escapades borders on jealousy, can he even dare to think that there’s more to their years of flirtations than simple bromance?

And can Matt really acknowledge his feelings when they’ll soon be returning to England, with him back to the university rugby team and two hundred miles away from Kiera?

Spanish Siesta (Flying into Love #2) is a Contemporary, Friends to Lovers, Bisexual Awakening, Forced Proximity MM Romance featuring a hot-headed rugby Fly-Half struggling with his emotions and an out-and-proud wannabe dancer suffering from unrequited love.

🔸 steamy and adorable🔸

Book 2 of the “Flying Into Love” series doesn’t disappoint! This book is fun, there’s a lot of sexual tension and it is sprinkled with just the right mount of angst.

Kieran Barker has come to help out his best friend by attending a wedding as the plus 1. Kieran has always had. crush on his bestie, but that’s not the kind of thing you talk about when your best friend’s dad is homophobic. Kieran has kept his secret for years and intends to keep on keeping it – not matter what. He doesn’t want to lose his best friend, and he certainly doesn’t want his heart broken – like it was when Matt left him behind to go to college.

Matt Robinson has been dumped recently by his latest in a string of girlfriends. None of them ever seem to work out… but he’s living his best life at Uni, playing rugby with the boys – so many that’s all part of life. He asks Kieran to come to the wedding with him – Kieran is like family and they just work together. They’ll have fun on the beach and it will be a blast.

Things quickly get a bit complex between Kieran and Matt. Matt finds that he’s got a bit of a jealous streak when it comes to Kieran being the subject of other men’s interest. Once the man arrive at the hotel and the family craziness begins, things begin to unravel for Matt. He finds himself in danger of losing everything without even being aware that he ever wanted it.

This is a great story – the pacing is perfect. I loved the friendship between Matt and Kieran. It was believable and sweet and I loved that they were written as friends first. The characters never lose the rough and tumble feel of their friendship and it is endearing. There’s growth, but the basis of their bond is believable and stays solid.

I enjoyed the first book in this series, but I think I enjoyed this one even more. If you’re looking for a well-paced, well-written, sweet and sexy M/M romance then check this one out.
