The Official Description: Trading small-town diners and familiar faces for skyscrapers and sold out venues, Travis Cherry took the risk of a lifetime by leaving Holdengate. Alone.
Or so he thought.

Bailey McAlister finally has a second chance at following his dream, but can he convince Travis to give him a second chance too?
The life of a rock star is not all bright lights and a sea of cheering fans, and personal demons aren’t the only thing Travis and Bailey have to conquer to survive the cut-throat world.

Bailey let Travis leave him behind in Holdengate… he let his fears get the better of him. Can he change things… make it up to the man he’s fallen for? – Kinzie Things
My thoughts bit: This book is a continuation of what Logan Grey began in The Deeper You Go. You have to have read the first book for this one to make sense… it’s a great duet and I would suggest that you pick them both up at once because you won’t want to wait once you get to the cliffhanger.
Book Two begins where the first story ends. Bailey has let Travis leave Holdengate. He was offered the deal of a lifetime by Heartbelt Records. He was offered a recording contract and the potential to tour with Travis. But, he let a heartbroken Travis leave and hasn’t accepted the deal.
From the very beginning of the novella, it’s clear that Bailey is hurting. His mother is furious with him for letting Travis go and equally as frustrated that he won’t even consider taking the Record company up on their offer.
For his part, Travis is crushed. He is heartbroken that Bailey let him leave Holdengate and he’s even more hurt by the fact that Bailey is basically ghosting him. Imagine his surprise when he finds out that his new opening act for his tour… is none other than Bailey.
I love these books because there’s enough drama and suspense to keep things interesting without it getting out of control. It’s quite authentic the way Travis and Bay work things out… I particularly love the way they speak to one another when there’s some kind of issue between them. The past of both characters is a bit more complex than we found out in the first installment of this series… and I really liked the way the author dealt with it.
One of my favorite parts of this book was the way the author used an interview with Travis as a vehicle for revealing how much he had changed! It was really original and I enjoyed seeing the layers of his character peeled back.
There’s a little bit of excitement in this part of the story! Not giving that away! Great story. I can’t wait for the next part of the series. There’s a teaser in the epilogue of this novella teasing the next book.
Things You May Want To Know: Please be aware, I’m by no means an expert on what may or may not have the potential to disturb people. I simply list things that I think a reader might want to be aware of. In this book: (SPOILERS) description of past alcoholism, descriptions of past physical abuse by a parent, description of homophobic behavior in past by parent, stalker, a character is held at gunpoint.
I received an ARC of The Longer You’ll Stay by Logan Grey from Gay Romance Reviews in exchange for an unbiased review.
About Logan:
Logan resides in Tennessee, convinced her southern twang is part of her charm. With two cats and a dog, her hands are full, and not just of treats like her pets would like to believe. As a full time author, she dedicates all of her time bringing to life different characters and developing new worlds for her readers to lose themselves in. And more often than not, she loses herself in them, which is her favorite place to be: with a cat in her lap, a snack in hand, and voices in her head.
